Isomorphic is an AI harness specialized for backend development. A native GUI and an agent built from scratch around one live understanding of your backend, from its code to its database.

Iso Agent has a semantic view of your backend, so your model builds production features faster, cheaper and more reliably. You see everything it does, and all of it is ordinary code in a repo you own.

No. An MCP server helps your agent search your code, but what it finds is still files. The agent still has to figure out what they add up to and edit them one by one, with only the compiler to catch its mistakes.

In Isomorphic the structure is the source of truth, and the code is generated from it. Iso Agent gets exact answers, and every change it makes is validated and shows up in the app as it happens, which nothing added on top of files can do.

Not yet. Isomorphic works on new backends it creates, much like adopting a framework, and we’re working on ways to bring existing projects in.

It’s built to do the opposite. Much of what an agent writes is repetitive code a change needs, like routes, query code and registrations. In Isomorphic that code is generated, validated and set aside in review.

What’s left is the logic, grouped by the service, endpoint, route or database it changes. The feature at the top of this page left about 100 lines in 4 short files.

Your repo holds a standard Go backend that builds and runs without Isomorphic, so you can push it to GitHub, run it in CI and deploy it anywhere. If you ever leave, you keep all of your code and lose only our agent and tools.

GPT, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi and more, with local models planned. Iso Agent needs so little context that small, inexpensive models do production work.

Isomorphic’s own production backend was built almost entirely by GPT-5.6 Luna, the weakest model in its family, working in Isomorphic.

Isomorphic is free. You pay only for the AI you use, and because Iso Agent needs so few tokens and works well with smaller models, $10 goes a long way.

The language is Go for now, with TypeScript planned and more languages after it. Your backend can use any database or service Go can connect to.

Postgres is the one Isomorphic’s tools fully support today, from local setup and migrations to Iso Agent’s database actions, and Redis and S3 are planned next to it.

Other agents edit file after file and hope the pieces fit. Iso Agent uses 45+ actions made for backends, like creating an endpoint or applying a migration, and Isomorphic writes and validates all the code each one needs, so no change is ever half done.

It runs in a harness we built from scratch for this work, which is how a small model finished the run on this page in 100 seconds.

Like working with a teammate in a shared document, where the document is your backend. When Iso Agent adds an endpoint or applies a migration, it appears in the app as it happens, and you can open it, ask about it or change it yourself.

When a choice is really yours, like whether signing up twice should be an error, it asks you first. Then you review a few short files, and you stay the person who knows your backend best without writing every line of it.

They tell it how the project should look, so it still reads files to find out how it looks today, like which routes exist or which migrations are applied. And as the code moves on, the instructions fall out of date.

Isomorphic always knows the project as it is right now, so Iso Agent needs no instructions about structure. Its changes go through that structure too, so they’re validated as they’re made instead of following rules nothing enforces.

Encore and Wasp are frameworks that shape how you write code, and a backend-as-a-service like Supabase runs part of your backend on its servers. Isomorphic is a new kind of system, where your code, its tools, your infrastructure and the AI working on it are built as one.

When Iso Agent applies a migration, the database tab already shows it applied and review files it under the endpoint it belongs to, because every tool shares one live model of your backend. Your code stays standard Go in your own repo, and you can deploy it anywhere.

No. It’s for production backends in real Go, which you own and can read. Isomorphic generates and validates the repetitive, error-prone parts, Iso Agent writes the logic, and you see and review all of it.

Think of a framework, its agent and its tools designed together, rather than a builder that hides the code from you.

Iso Agent writes the code for it, or you do, right in your project, the way you would in any backend. Anything Go can connect to works, from MongoDB to a queue or a payment provider, and Isomorphic’s tools keep working everywhere else.

Then it’s a great place to do it. Every tool works the same for you as it does for Iso Agent, so you see the whole backend at once, change its structure with a click and get the code it needs instantly, validated.

The logic is yours to write in Iso IDE, next to your database tools, and your own changes get the same short reviews with the generated code set aside.

For now, because backends are where agents struggle most and where knowing the structure helps most. Next come deployments, with logs, traces and performance right next to the logic that produced them.

Then the rest of a product joins, from its back office to its web and mobile apps, so you and Iso Agent work across all of it as easily as across one backend. That’s the idea in the name: one structure with the same shape as everything you build.

Because a tool you spend all day in should be fast and pleasant to use. With no browser engine underneath, a large backend opens instantly and every click responds right away, even while agents are working.

Isomorphic is written in Jai, a systems language, and runs at 120+ FPS.
